Executive Chef Eric Mah

Eric Mah was born and raised in Calgary. His passion for cooking was partially fueled by his Mother’s cooking, where some of his fondest memories are those of fresh baking apple fritters on summer mornings and his Mother’s homemade meals – “she is probably the best cook I know. When other kids were having pizza night, my mother was making three course meals from scratch”. - With this inspiration planted in his mind he attended SAIT for culinary arts, and after graduating he traveled to Spain and B.C. to perfect his culinary skills. Working in an array of different establishments, from small restaurants to hotels, and receiving several nominations for culinary excellence, he gained experience that is of a crucial asset to his career.

As a native Calgarian, Eric was a perfect fit for Redwater Rustic Grille; where he joined our team in June of 2010. His 12 years of cooking experience, strong work ethic, and creativeness, blended with his dedication to quality and consistency will be essential for the regional, rustic menu offered at Redwater Rustic Grille.

The restaurant's décor and design complement the vibrancy and freshness of the food, making Redwater’s beautifully illuminated space one of the city's hottest dining destinations. Burnished cherry wood, soft lighting and large red club chairs in the center of the room create an ambiance of casual refinement.
